Matrix-Chat at Uni Wuppertal
Matrix is a communication protocol or chat system. There are many Matrix programs and the most well-known is the element that the University of Wuppertal also uses (see “First Steps”) and hosts on its own server. Matrix programs are available as web applications, desktop clients and mobile apps. Similar to having an email address and being able to use it with various programs such as Thunderbird and Outlook, you can use your Matrix account with various Matrix programs. The aim of Matrix at the University of Wuppertal is to facilitate exchange between educational institutions, so you can chat with members (employees and students) of this and other colleges and universities.
